Need: A licensed therapist client, specializing in working with neurodiverse couples, would like to share her expertise with couples that are not currently in counseling. Because she is highly sought out, she has limited availability, but would like to reach those couples seeking help. The need is to educate couples about neurodiversity and what it means when one partner is neurodiverse and the other is neurotypical.
Solution: I created an interactive eLearning experience exploring the various body sensory systems. This topic, often unfamiliar to neurotypical partners, is a key component of understanding neurodiversity. Sensory systems is commonly addressed during therapy as neurodiverse individuals may experience sensory system issues.
Outcome: This eLearning is designed to be one part of a larger, introductory course for neurodiverse couples. This eLearning is a topic typically discussed during a therapy session.
